Plantation Shutters are a very popular way to improve the look and character of your home, adding value to your greatest asset. They have a premium and warm feel, and are suited to both new and traditional homes.
Plantation Shutters give you complete flexibility to control the amount of light and air that enters your room. You can control your privacy by having them completely shut, open, or partially open by tilting the blades in the direction you desire
We supply three different ranges of plantation shutters, all made from different materials, making sure you can find a shutter that fits your home and your budget.
Our timber shutters are made from 100% premium basswood.
Our poly shutters are made from innovative, superior-quality, 100% recyclable polymer.
Our aluminium shutters are made from T5 aluminium.
Timber shutters: paint is covered for 5 years, stain is covered for 3 years and the structure of the shutter is covered for 15 years.
Poly shutters – paint is covered for 5 years and the structure of the shutter is covered for 15 years.
Aluminium – Both the powder coat and the structure is covered for 10 years.
The colour options are endless and we can ensure that your new shutters will compliment your home. Timber shutters are available in 28 standard colours, Poly shutters are available in 15 standard colours, and with Aluminium shutters you can choose from 6 standard powder coat colours. You can also request custom colours to match your colour scheme (surcharges apply).
Plantation shutters are a beautiful addition to your bathroom, laundry or kitchen. We recommend using the poly range which is made from innovative, superior-quality, 100% recyclable polymer. Being man-made, poly shutters are resistant to humidity and moisture, so they’re perfect for wet areas.
Plantation Shutters are a low maintenance product with no need to clean fabrics or replace cords.
Internal Shutters – Keep free with a soft cloth, feather duster, microfiber wand or gently vacuum with a soft bristle attachment. Use a small soft brush to dust cracks and hard to get places, Spot clean with a soft damp cloth when necessary but quickly wipe dry. If soap and water must be used then use a small amount of PH neutral soap in lukewarm water.
External Shutters – They should be cared for in the same manner as internal shutters. However, since external shutters may be exposed to weather, dirt and grime will build up so cleaning with a soft damp cloth is required. All metal components (stainless steel hinges, pivots, wheels, etc) will require regular maintenance to ensure they’re safe from grime and it is recommended to apply an anticorrosion coating such as WD40, Selleys RP7 or Inox MX3.
Yes, all of our Plantation Shutter installs are done personally by the company director. No subcontractors, no excuses - just professional, seamless installation.
Our Plantation Shutters are imported. From the time you place your order, most installations are completed within 12 weeks. We’ll keep you updated every step of the way.
I started Aspect Blinds and Shutters after spending years as an installer because honestly, I was sick of seeing people get screwed over by dodgy sales tactics, crap communication, and shoddy installs.
We’re a family-owned business based right here in Adelaide, and for my wife Charlotte and I, it’s all about helping homeowners get shutters that look amazing, last for years, and don’t come with the usual headaches.
We keep it simple - no hiding behind faceless ‘customer service’ teams. We keep you in the loop from the first quote to the final install.
We’re all about quality. Every job’s done to the highest standard because we don’t have time to fix dodgy installs. That’s why we only work with top-tier manufacturers who have strict quality controls—it saves us time, and it saves you headaches.
Our customers often tell us how refreshing it is to work with us—and we couldn’t be prouder. When you choose Aspect Blinds and Shutters, you’re working with people who genuinely care about getting it right. We treat every project like it’s our own, and we’re not happy until you are.
We’re not just here to sell shutters—we’re here to help you create a home you’re proud of. That’s what we’re all about.
Our two young sons are at the heart of everything we do. This business isn’t just about window furnishings - it’s about building something meaningful, something we can be proud to pass on to them one day. We want to show them what it means to work hard, treat people right, and take pride in what you create.
For us, Aspect Blinds and Shutters is more than a business - it’s a legacy. It’s a way to teach our boys the values that matter most: honesty, respect, and always doing the job properly the first time. We hope that as they grow, they’ll see the impact of putting people first and doing things the right way, even when it’s not the easiest way.
Maybe one day, they’ll be the ones helping families like yours create homes they’re proud of. That’s the dream.
